The Public Affairs Society Austria (PASA)
was founded on July 15, 2004. Read more about
the aims of PASA in this article.
PASA is a network of public affairs consultants
whose major aim is to sustain and enhance the quality
and transparency of public affairs in Austria. Our
task is to convey a clearly defined profile of public
affairs to political actors/opinion leaders, companies
and the public.
|
 |
 |
- Develop a clearly defined profile of public
affairs and convey it to political actors/opinion
leaders, companies and the public.
- Define quality-standards and principles for
public affairs consultants.
- Frame a professional approach to public affairs
and enhance it through information exchange and
further education.
- Establish a network of public affairs consultants.

- Whether or not a company is successful today more than ever depends on the political
and societal framework it operates in. Consequently, it is one of the core tasks
of modern management to actively participate in defining the working conditions
of this framework.
- Furthermore, the demand for dialogue with the
economy beyond traditional market communication
is steadily growing and is also expected on the
part of politics and the public. Public Affairs
therefore makes a decisive contribution to the
strategic, operative and financial development
of a company.

- Public Relations means professional communication
with various interest groups of the public. Public
Affairs, on the other hand, basically focuses
on improving the political framework for companies
and institutions to operate in.
- The comm aim of public relations and public
affairs is to optimise corporate communications
and to essentially contribute to reach the company’s
strategic objectives.
- Public Affairs requires special strategies,
knowledge and methods. Hence it makes sense that
PASA itself is an independent organisation which
provides a code of conduct for its own members,
which works on the development of quality standards
and is at the same time a member of the PRVA.
